Hunting bears is unsafe, unnecessary and will not help reduce interactions
State Rep. David Michel (D –Stamford), State Rep. Nicole Klarides-Ditria (R – Beacon Falls, Derby, Seymour), other legislators, and animal advocates will be speaking at a joint press conference of the CT Animal Advocacy Caucus and the CT Coalition to Protect Bears to strongly oppose a proposed bear hunting season measure. They will also be urging lawmakers to pass legislation that would ban the intentional feeding of all wildlife.
