Rep. Klarides-Ditria Opposed to Extension of Governor’s Powers

On September 2, I joined House Republican Leader Themis Klarides, Deputy Republican Leader Vinny Candelora, State Rep. Dr. Bill Petit, and other House Republican legislators to demand a meeting with the Majority Leaders and Co-Chairs of the Public Health Committee as a legislative committee should vote on Governor Lamont’s efforts to extend his sweeping executive orders beyond their Sept. 9 expiration date.
I also sent the letter below to the committee, as have many of my colleagues. I am hopeful that they will consider meeting so we can check the power of the governor and actually represent the folks who put all of us into office.
