Rep. Klarides-Ditria Announces District-Wide Art Contest Winners

HARTFORD- State Representative Nicole Klarides-Ditria hosted a district-wide themed art contest for all 5th-grade students in the towns of Beacon Falls, Seymour, and her portion of Derby. Art teachers throughout the 105th district were asked to judge the student’s artwork based on appearance, relevance, and insight into their community.
“I want to thank all of the students who participated in the art contest this year,” said Rep. Klarides-Ditria. “The students’ wonderful artwork has brought the rich traditions of the towns of Beacon Falls, Derby, and Seymour to Hartford. Looking up at the walls of my office and seeing the artwork displayed brings a smile to my face every time and always reminds me of the towns and the people I represent.”
Rep. Klarides-Ditria visited and met all the winning students to present them with a citation from the General Assembly. The winning submissions were framed and are currently on display in Rep. Klarides-Ditria’s office in Hartford.
The winning students include:
Laurel Ledge School (Beacon Falls): Isabella Paupini
Irving School (Derby): Kylin Santamaria
Bradley School (Derby): Lisa Gall
Chatfield-LoPresti School (Seymour): Victoria Koether
Bungay School (Seymour): Kendra Brito, Nate Murzin, and Alexandra DeNigris
“I encourage all of my constituents to visit my office in Hartford to see the artwork up close,” added Rep. Klarides-Ditria. “I am always available, and anyone wishing to visit can contact my office at 860-240-8700 or email at Nicole.Klarides-Ditria@housegop.ct.gov. For incoming 5th-grade students, I look forward to seeing your artwork next year!”
