HARTFORD – State Representative Nicole Klarides-Ditria, the House Republican Leader on the Regulation Review Committee, announced last week that the committee signed off on allowing pharmacies to collect unused prescription drugs to be properly disposed of.
“Making it easier for residents to dispose of unused prescription drugs will help prevent prescription drugs from potentially getting in the hands of children and younger adults,” said Rep. Klarides-Ditria. “This is another step to helping combat the opioid epidemic and I want to thank all the pharmacies that supported this legislation and that will take the steps to collect unused prescription drugs.”
