The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a pavement surface repair operation will take place on Route 8 northbound near Exit 22 in Seymour.

Work crews will micro-mill the deteriorated asphalt surface within the project limits to remove loose material and to provide a stable, smooth travel surface for the remainder of the winter months. This section of roadway will be repaved with new hot-mix bituminous asphalt during the upcoming 2019 construction season.

This project is scheduled to take place beginning on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 8:00 PM until Friday, February 22, 2019, at 5:00 AM, and on Friday, February 22, 2019, at 9:00 PM, until Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 6:00 AM.

Impact attenuators, signing patterns, and cones will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone and State Police will be utilized for traffic control.
