BEACON FALLS – State Rep. Nicole Klarides-Ditria and state Senator George Logan recently visited Goldenrod Corporation, located in Beacon Falls. Goldenrod is the largest manufacturer of winding shafts and chucks in the industry.

“I am proud to have a leading manufacturer like Goldenrod right here in our backyard,” said Rep. Klarides-Ditria. “The manufacturing industry in Connecticut is a large part of our economy, and we need to do more as a state to make sure this industry thrives and grows.”

“We are so appreciative to the staff and management at Goldenrod for the tour,” Sen. Logan said. “At the State Capitol, our goal is to pass policies which help manufacturers like Goldenrod succeed. We encourage all area business owners to contact us with ideas. We are listening, and we take those ideas with us to Hartford.”

In 2003, Goldenrod moved from Prospect to Beacon Falls into a newly built state-of-the-art 30,000 sq/ft manufacturing facility. According to the Connecticut Business & Industry Association, there are more than 4,000 manufacturers located in Connecticut, who employee 162,800 employees.
More information about Goldenrod can be found on the company’s website, www.goldenrodcorp.com.
