The state Department of Agriculture (DoAg) announced that Brennan Brook Farm in Beacon Falls has received a New Farmer Microgrant which will allow them to renovate a 14×12-foot room in an existing barn into a farm store and outfit the room with freezers.
The microgrant is part of more than $527,000 that has been awarded to fund 29 projects statewide as part of DoAg’s 2025 Farm Transition Grant program. The program is designed “to bolster agricultural production of both new and existing farm operations.”
