    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled closure of Baldwin Road in Orange and Derby at Route 34 to facilitate construction activities associated with intersection improvements and installation of new traffic signal equipment at the intersection.

    The closure will begin 9:00 AM on Monday, July 8, 2019, and end by 3:00 PM on Monday, August 5, 2019.

    Motorist are advised to use alternate route and follow the posted detour route.

    About the Project
    The project consists of new computerized traffic signal equipment at Rte. 34 & Baldwin Road to improve safety; replacement of traffic signal cabinets between the intersections Rte. 34 @ Derby Avenue and Rte. 34 @ Racebrook Road & Birchwood.

    The project is scheduled for completion on October 25, 2019.

    Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
