Rep. Kathy Kennedy: Nighttime Bridge Maintenance along Interstate 95 in Milford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on Interstate 95 North and South in Milford, Wednesday, September 4, through Friday, September 20, 2019.

The project consists of structural steel repairs to the West River Street Bridge (#00144) over I-95.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2019 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures on Interstate 95 North and South between Exit 37 (High Street) and Exit 39A (Route 1 South) in Milford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday through Thursday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
