    October Is A Busy Month In Orange

    There are so many activities planned for this month, so get out your pen and mark your calendar now so you don’t miss anything!
    Saturday, Oct. 7 – Orange Recycling Committee’s “Shredding Day” 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
    • Orange Community Women will collect clothing and household goods under the upper pavilion from 9 to 11 a.m. only.
    • Buy Nothing Orange will take place under the pavilion from 9 to 11 a.m. only.
    Sunday, Oct. 8 – Orange Historical Society hosts a Walking Tour of the Orange Center Cemetery from 1-3 p.m. $5 per person, children – Free (rain will cancel the event)
    Friday, Oct. 13 – Flu Vaccine Clinic in the Probate Court Office at the High Plains Community Center, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Sunday, Oct. 15 – Orange Historical Society hosts a Walking Tour of the Orange Center Cemetery from 1-3 p.m. $5 per person, children – Free (rain will cancel the event)
    Tuesday, Oct. 17 – Coffee With A Cop, High Plains Community Center, Senior Cafeteria, beginning at 12 p.m.
    Friday, Oct. 20 – Conservation Commission’s Owl Prowl at 7:30 p.m. at the Ewen Farm Preserve — arrive at 7:15 p.m.
    Saturday, Oct. 21 – Funtober at the Orange Fairgrounds, 1 to 3 p.m. (Orange residents ONLY) NOTE: Games, Hayrides, and Food from 1-2 p.m.; Trunk or Treat from 2-3 p.m. Rain date: Sunday, Oct. 22
    October 27-28 – Haunted Firehouse, at Station 1, 625 Orange Center Road, from 7-9:30 p.m. both nights
    Saturday, Oct. 28 – Drug Takeback Day at High Plains Community Center, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
