The 2025 Session Has Started!

Last week, I took the oath to represent the 131st District and on Thursday morning hit the ground running with an introductory meeting of the Energy & Technology Committee, and the Housing Committee on Tuesday. Since then, I’ve met individually with members from my other committees, and have been busy getting up-to-date with mandatory trainings and reading dozens of legislative proposals.
House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora appointed me to serve on the Energy and Technology, Environment, General Law, and Housing committees for the 2025-2027 legislative session.
I’ve also proposed a handful of bills to address common sense issues, including one to “prioritize towns with populations at or below twenty-five thousand for state education funding” and one to “exempt seniors, veterans and active duty members of the armed forces from the Passport to the Parks motor vehicle registration fee.”

Another proposed bill would provide support to the brave men and women who keep our communities safe and restore qualified immunity to law enforcement officers. Removing this recently-implemented barrier to public safety will reduce ambiguity and provide guidance for law enforcement officers regarding proper actions in the field.
You can read more about these and my other proposals, and track legislation I co-sponsor through the session, on my website at: https://www.cga.ct.gov/asp/CGABillStatus/CGAMemberBills.asp?dist_code=131
