With his wife Paula and adult son Eric looking on from the historic Hall of the House Wednesday morning, State Representative Arnold Jensen (R-131) took the oath of office to serve as the new voice of the 131st District and the people of Naugatuck, Oxford and Southbury in the General Assembly.
“It is an honor to represent my neighbors, friends and constituents from Naugatuck, Oxford and Southbury in Hartford and I am excited to work on the issues that affect all of us, including energy costs and overall affordability in our state,” Representative Jensen said.
For the 2025-2027 legislative session, House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora appointed Representative Jensen to serve on the legislature’s Energy and Technology Committee, Housing Committee, General Law Committee, and Environment Committee.
Representative Jensen won election to the open seat following the retirement of former State Representative Labriola.
