DOT: Pavement Preservation Program on Route 34 in Derby, Oxford, and Seymour

In a press release, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on routes: Route 114 in Orange, Route 22 in North Haven and North Branford and Route 34 in Oxford, Seymour and Derby starting today, Monday, July 14, 2025.
This work will be performed by Tilcon Connecticut Inc. and is scheduled to be completed on Thursday, October 30, 2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 3 in New Haven.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures starting Monday, July 14, 2025 on Route 114 in Orange between US-1 (Boston Post Road) and Route 34 (Derby TPKE) 2.2 miles, Route 22 in North Haven and North Branford between US-5 (Washington Ave) and Route 17 (Middletown Ave) 3.76 miles, and Route 34 in Oxford, Seymour and Derby between Stevenson Dam and Camptown Street, 6.39 miles.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide drivers through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday to Friday.
Drivers should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions and are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
