The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced more than $17.3 million in grants for 15 projects in Connecticut under the state-funded State Local Bridge Program, including two in Southbury
According to the DOT release, “the State Local Bridge Program is a cost-matching grant program that provides 50% of project costs for locally owned bridges. Cities and towns administer all design and construction aspects of their projects, while the CTDOT oversees project milestones and provides guidance for the municipalities.”
The grants approved in this round include:
- Southbury: Replace Bridge #130006, Bucks Hill Road over Walnut Hill Brook ($581,100)
- Southbury: Replace Bridge #130029, Munn Road over Walnut Hill Brook ($562,250)
