The Department of Agriculture announced that Naugatuck’s Sunset Farm CT will receive a $33,600.00 Innovation and Diversification grant which will allow them to “construct a processing building to wash, pack, and store new product (organic apples) and expanded produce offerings.”
The microgrant is part of more than $527,000 that been awarded to fund 29 projects throughout the state as part of DoAg’s 2025 Farm Transition Grant program. The program is designed “to bolster agricultural production of both new and existing farm operations.”
