Rep. Howard Takes Oath of Office to Begin New Term

HARTFORD- During the Opening of the 2025 Legislative Session, State Rep. Greg Howard (43) on Wednesday was officially sworn-in for a new term as State Representative for the 43rd General Assembly District which includes the towns of Ledyard, Stonington and North Stonington.
“I am honored to serve the people of Stonington, Ledyard, and North Stonington in the House of Representatives. said Rep. Howard. “This year, we have many important issues to tackle, including crafting the new two-year state budget, determining our priorities, working to curb electric rate hikes on ratepayers in Connecticut, and keeping our citizens safe and secure in their home and on our roadways.
For the new term, Howard has been re-appointed the House Republican Ranking Member of the Public Safety and Security Committee by House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora.
Additionally, Howard has been re-appointed to the legislature’s Education Committee, which handles all matters of education, state and local.
Howard will also continue his service on the Judiciary Committee. Howard has been a vocal advocate for victims in Connecticut and making sure we hold criminals accountable.
