HARTFORD – State Representative Greg Howard was honored Friday by the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence as part of its “First 100 Plus Class of 2026,” recognizing leaders across Connecticut who work to improve the lives of domestic violence survivors and their families.

The recognition was presented during the organization’s 15th Annual First 100 Plus Breakfast & Awards Celebration held at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.

“I want to thank CCADV and all of the frontline advocates, especially Safe Futures in our part of the state, who dedicate their lives to helping victims. I am honored to receive this recognition from CCADV,” said Howard, who has dedicated his life working on behalf of domestic violence victims. “Supporting survivors of domestic violence and advocating for stronger protections for victims and families is incredibly important work.”

According to CCADV, the award recognizes individuals whose professional and personal contributions have helped provide advocacy, justice, hope, and meaningful change for survivors and their families throughout the state.

Howard, who has long supported public safety initiatives and victim advocacy efforts in the legislature, said the recognition reflects the collaborative efforts of organizations, advocates, and policymakers committed to preventing domestic violence and supporting survivors.

The Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence is the state’s leading voice for victims of domestic violence and works with member organizations across Connecticut to provide services, education, outreach, and advocacy.
