Rep. Howard Scores 100% with CT Business Organization

(HARTFORD) — The state’s leading business advocacy group, Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA), has officially released its data illustrating how members of the CT State House of Representatives voted in 2022. According to the association, Representative Greg Howard (R-43) earned a 100% voting score based on his steadfast support of several new pro-business laws.

Rep. Howard said, “Connecticut is becoming increasingly unaffordable and the small businesses that represent the heartbeat of our economic engine are being burdened with high costs of materials and labor, and I am fighting to eliminate unworkable mandates and regulations that hinder economic development and growth.”

Each year the CBIA rates Connecticut lawmakers’ voting records in committee or on the House floor concerning an array of ‘key bills’ determined by the association on Connecticut’s business environment and economic stability. Tallied votes that support the business community’s position would reflect positively, while votes in opposition rendered a lower overall score.

The list of bills included issues ranging from developing a plan for women returning to Post-COVID Workplace, addressing Manufacturing Jobs, establishing Licensing Reforms, and creating a Commercial Driver’s License Training program.
