    Safety Improvement Project on Route 2A in Montville and I-95 in Stonington/North Stonington 

    The project consists of installing rumble strips on Route 2A in Montville and I-95 Northbound in Stonington/ North Stonington.  This project is scheduled to be performed on Sunday evening, June 19, 2022, to Friday morning, June 24, 2022. 

    LANE CLOSURE INFO:

    Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 2A in Montville between the junction of I-395 to

    Route 12 and I-95 northbound between Exit 91 in Stonington and Exit 93 in North Stonington.  Two (2) State troopers, four (4) crash attenuator vehicles, overhead variable message boards, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The night work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Sunday – Friday).

     Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
