CTDOT is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Service Route 617 (Frontage Road) in North Stonington starting Monday, April 22,2024.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Service Route 617 (Frontage Road) in North Stonington. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.85-mile segment of Service Route 617 (Frontage Road) in Stonington. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday, April 22, through Tuesday, April 23, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3, 2024.

This project is included in CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Service Route 617 (Frontage Road) from Route 2 (Norwich/ Westerly Road) to the end of Service Route 617 in North Stonington. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
