Promoting Literacy and Read Across America at Booth Free, Pomperaug Elementary Schools

State Rep. Cindy Harrison joined Roxbury First Selectman Patrick Roy to spend part of their morning reading to children as part of Read Across America events at Booth Free School. Rep. Harrison read Dr. Seuss’ “What Pet Should I Get?” while Roy read Virginia Lee Burton’s “Katy and the Big Snow” with a slight change of the town in the story to Roxbury to the delight of the children.

Rep. Harrison also visited and read to Pomperaug Elementary School students later in the afternoon.
