HARTFORD – Attorney General William Tong will join state Sen. Julie Kushner, state Reps. Stephen Harding, Richard Smith, David Arconti, Raghib Allie-Brennan, Bob Godfrey, Ken Gucker, Bill Buckbee and Sean Scanlon on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 5:30 p.m. for a forum on how all levels of government are working to address the opioid epidemic.
During the forum, which will be held at the Greater Danbury Community Health Center, state officials will hear from Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton and representatives from Danbury’s Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services, the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery, Danbury Hospital, the Greater Danbury Community Health Center and New Milford’s Police Department.
First responders and advocates will discuss measures that have been taken locally to address the largest public health crisis of our generation and ways state and local government can combat the opioid epidemic.
