If it wasn’t enough that Eversource customers were forced to foot the bill for those who didn’t pay their bills, it was announced today that PURA has approved an $80 million rate adjustment to enhance the state’s EV charging grid, so now we can pay for the less than 2.5% of EV owners to charge their vehicles.
It’s mindboggling and quite honestly tone deaf that PURA would approve such an increase. Ratepayers are now going to be paying through their nose for decisions that their lawmakers feel are a priority!
