    Dear Friends & Neighbors,

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation recently shared an announcement about tree removal along I-91 in Enfield and East Windsor that could impact your commute. Read the announcement below for details and information about lane closures:

    Tree Removal, I-91 Southbound in Enfield and East Windsor

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a tree removal operation will be performed on I-91 Southbound in Enfield and East Windsor, beginning Monday, March 18, 2019.

    The tree removal operation will be performed on a 12.21 mile segment of I-91 Southbound beginning at the Connecticut State Line to I-91 Southbound Exit 44. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, March 18, 2019 through Friday, March 29, 2019.

    The tree removal operation will be performed by Distinctive Gardens and Tree Care.

    LANE CLOSURE INFO

    Motorists can expect right lane closure to occur on I-91 Southbound beginning at the Connecticut State Line to I-91 Southbound Exit 44.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

    Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
