Rep. Hall Hosts Town Hall Meeting in Enfield

ENFIELD – State Representative Carol Hall (R-59) recently hosted an open town hall style meeting with constituents at the Enfield Town Hall Council Chambers.
Residents from across the district shared their questions, comments and concerns about state government with Representative Hall. Most shared their concerns about state finances and concerns about proposed tax increases such as tolls, sales tax increases and property tax increases due to unfunded state mandates.
Rep. Hall commented, “I am grateful for everyone who joined me to discuss state issues and bill proposals for the 2019 legislative session. There are serious concerns about the cost of living in Connecticut and the impact of overspending and increasing taxes. As a returning member of the Appropriations Committee, I will fight to protect the spending and borrowing caps instituted in the previous biennial budget. Additionally, this year I have been appointed Ranking Member of the Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee which is an important assignment for job training and workforce development programs.”
