HARTFORD – State Representative Carol Hall (R-Enfield) is encouraging residents to ‘Retire Your Worn American Flags’ at two drop off locations within the 59th District. Flags will be collected from Monday, May 23rd through Monday, June 13th.

     Collection Sites:
Enfield Public Library, 104 Middle St., Enfield
Warehouse Point Library, 107 Main St., East Windsor

The U.S. Flag Code specifies that the flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning. All flags collected will be given to a local veterans organization for a proper retirement ceremony.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Rep. Hall at (800) 842-1423 or by email at Carol.Hall@housegop.ct.gov.
