Yesterday morning, I had a welcomed opportunity to step away from the legislative side of things to be a guest reader in Mrs. Wisnesky’s first-grade class at Hazardville Memorial Elementary School in Enfield.
This annual event is a favorite of mine and one I look forward to participating in at different schools in the district each and every year.
I’d like to acknowledge the teachers and administrators in our district and throughout our state for their efforts in creating fun and unique ways to promote the importance of reading at a young age. It is because of your efforts that these events are so popular among students and so enjoyable for guest readers like myself to be a part of.
