Enfield Resident Lucien Lefevre Inducted into the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame

Last night, I had the privilege of attending the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony which included my good friend and Enfield resident Lucien Lefevre.

Lucien, who served in the Connecticut Army National Guard for 37 years, was one of 14 inductees, and like all of the other recipients, his military and public service is exemplary.
As Chairman of Enfield’s Veterans Council, Lucien works alongside the town’s leadership to coordinate the Memorial and Veteran’s Day parades, and annual events such as the Navy Ritual Ceremony honoring all veterans lost at sea, and Gold Star Luncheon. In addition, Lucien currently serves as the Commander of American Legion Post 154, a position he’s held since 2011. He has also worked with many organizations such as Wreaths Across America, Special Olympics, Enfield Soup Kitchen, Cub Scouts, and served as a volunteer firefighter for 15 years.

His honors include being named the recipient of the 2018 Legion of Honor Humanitarian Award from the Chapel of the Four Chaplains, 2019 Enfield Patriot Award and the Daughters of the American Revolution 2019 Veteran Volunteer of the Year.

It was truly an honor to acknowledge the work of Lucien and the other nominees who have contributed so much to our state. These men and women have not only served our country with honor and distinction but also made a significant impact on their communities after their service time had ended.
