HARTFORD – With the summer season and patriotic holidays such as Memorial Day, Flag Day and the Fourth of July on the horizon, it is the perfect time to properly retire your worn, faded and tattered American flags as you prepare to put on fresh new displays of the Stars and Stripes.
State Representative Carol Hall (R-59) is providing locations that residents can drop off their worn American flags for proper ceremonial disposal according to the U.S. Flag Code. Drop-off locations will receive flags from Friday, May 18th until Wednesday, June 13th.
The Enfield drop-off locations are:
- Enfield Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street, Enfield
- Enfield Public Library, 104 Middle Road, Enfield
The East Windsor drop-off locations are:
- East Windsor Town Hall, 11 Rye Street, Board Brook
- Warehouse Point Library, 107 Main Street, Warehouse Point
- American Legion Post #40, 7 Gardner Street, East Windsor
