Bridge Rehab Project – Route 190, in Enfield and Suffield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation recently shared an announcement regarding repairs and rehabilitation of the Enfield-Suffield Veterans Bridge that carries Route 190 over the Connecticut River.  Read the announcement below for details and information about lane closures that could impact your commute:

Rehabilitation of Bridge 03295 Carrying Route 190 Over the Connecticut River and Amtrak

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the commencement of work for the rehabilitation of Bridge 03295 carrying Route 190 over the Connecticut River and Amtrak in Enfield and Suffield.

The project consists of bridge joint replacements, blast cleaning and painting of beam ends and floor beams, localized repairs and spot painting of superstructure steel, removal of deteriorated concrete, modifications to the bridge drainage system, and replacement of the asphalt wearing surface over the bridge deck and on the west approach between Route 159 and the bridge.

DOT Project No. 0139-0113 was awarded to Rotha Contracting Company, Inc. at a cost of $6,245,600.99, on April 9, 2020 and is scheduled to be completed on November 27, 2021.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Route 190: Monday through Friday between 9:00 pm – 6:00 am, and Saturday and Sunday between 6:00 pm – 10:00 am.

Route 159, Ramps & Turning Roadways: Monday through Friday between 9:00 am – 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 6:00 am, and Saturday and Sunday between 6:00 pm – 10:00 am.
