Posted on April 3, 2023

I would like to hear from you!

To find out where the people of East Haddam, East Hampton, and Salem, stand on the major state issues being debated in the General Assembly, I have composed several survey questions for constituents in our district.

Rep. Haines Testifies in Support of Three Public Health Bills

Posted on March 28, 2023

Last week I had the opportunity to testify in front of the Public Health Committee on three bills that impact local first responders who provide so much to our communities. With emergency services being so critically important to our small towns, I needed to point out the realities regarding the increasing challenges our EMS professionals are facing.

I will continue to work on their behalf to ensure that the bills we are passing in this legislature improve training, recruiting, and retention.

Rare Disease Day at the State Capitol

Posted on March 24, 2023

On Thursday morning, the National Association for Rare Disorders held a legislative breakfast at the State Capitol that I had the opportunity to attend. I was there in support of all people who suffer from various rare diseases, that face a multitude of challenges that they face on a day-to-day basis. We had the opportunity to listen to advocates, legislators, and those living with diseases who shared their experiences with us.

Among those who spoke this morning was Rachel O’Grady from Lyme, Connecticut.
