I’m sharing some news from DOT that might impact your commute:

Bridge Maintenance along Route 82 – Bridge Road – in East Haddam

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that project scoping for upcoming bridge rehabilitation will be performed on Route 82 (Bridge Road) in East Haddam on Thursday, September 26, 2019.

The project consists of project scoping for upcoming bridge rehabilitation on Rt. 82 EB & WB, Bridge #01138 (the swing bridge over the Connecticut River) in East Haddam.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect alternating traffic control on Route 82 EB & WB, between Main St. and Bridge Rd.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 26, 2019.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
