HARTFORD – In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday and the 22nd annual National Education Association’s (NEA) Read Across America Day, State Representative Robin Green (R-55) joined in the nationwide celebration by reading to preschool students at Marlborough Elementary School.

“I had a wonderful time reading to Marlborough Elementary School’s preschools classroom. The children asked great questions and shared their stories on how they related to the story. I am always amazed on just how articulate our children are today and it just goes to show how essential early childhood education is to the development of our children,” Rep. Green said.

As part of the annual event, Rep. Green read ‘Ten on the Sled’ and ‘Snow Dance’.

Read Across America Day was established by the National Education Association in 1997 and takes place on March 2nd. It has become the largest reading event in the country.
