CT Raised Your Electric Rates Again!

Last week, we demanded a special legislative session to address high electric rates. Instead, this week, customers of Eversource and UI, once again, get hit in the wallet.

AMAZINGLY, mere days after the sticker shock of massive energy bill increases were felt across the state, PURA has granted YET ANOTHER ADJUSTMENT (read: increase!) to Eversource and UI, this time to recoup the cost of setting up EV charging stations!

Essentially, you are going to be paying for someone else to be able to charge their car!

It’s ridiculous, and yet another reason my Republican colleagues and I have asked for a special session to develop a reasonable state strategy on electric rates.

Ratepayers could not afford the prior increase, and I highly doubt they can afford this new one, too.
