Rep. Doug Dubitsky Attends CT Business Day

HARTFORD – On Wednesday, Rep. Doug Dubitsky met with members of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) as part of Connecticut Business Day at the Capitol.
Rep. Dubitsky participated in two Q&A sessions yesterday with business owners from Windham county and and from New London county.
“Unfortunately, a significant segment of the legislature does not take the interests of the business community seriously,” said Rep. Dubitsky. “The Democrats ignored the concerns of job creators when passing the disastrous state budget in June. But even though the legislature held two special sessions to try to close the budget’s massive and entirely predictable deficits, our state is currently in a dire fiscal predicament due to the Democrats’ continuing refusal to support responsible structural changes to the way government spends your money. I urge business owners to hold their legislators’ feet to the fire and insist that they recognize that short-sighted budgeting from one deficit panic to the next is a recipe for financial disaster.”
“The CBIA has long been a powerful advocate for Connecticut’s businesses, and I thank them for all that it does to make sure that the voice of the business community is heard up in Hartford. I also want to thank all those who came from Windham and New London counties to speak with me and my colleagues today.”
CBIA is Connecticut’s largest business organization and represents thousands of members companies of different sizes and across industries.
