FAIRFIELD– State Representative Laura Devlin (R-134 Fairfield/Trumbull) and State Senator Henri Martin (R-31 Bristol/Plainville, Thomaston, Harwinton and Plymouth), House and Senate Ranking Members of the legislative Transportation Committee are inviting the public to attend informational forums on tolls in Fairfield and Norwalk.
The Fairfield informational forum on toll will be at the Fairfield Board of Education Administration Building on Thursday, Feb. 21 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The Norwalk informational forum on toll will be at the Norwalk Inn & Conference Center on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 7:00pm-8:30pm.
Investing in and improving Connecticut’s transportation infrastructure is a priority among all lawmakers. One proposal before the legislature is to implement tolls across the state, a proposal that has raised many questions. Both informational toll events will allow for residents to share their concerns, get their questions answered about tolls, and discuss potential alternatives to tolls.
The Transportation Committee is expected to hold public hearings on toll-related bills later this month at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.
The Fairfield Board of Education Administration Building is located at 501 Kings Hwy. East in Fairfield.
The Norwalk Inn & Conference Center is located at 99 East Avenue in Norwalk.
