Take aim at reviving CT economy
HARTFORD — State Representative Laura Devlin (R-134) took the oath of office on Wednesday, January 9th kicking off their new terms as state legislators.
The legislative session, which gaveled in Wednesday, will stretch through June 5, and lawmakers will work with the governor to set the budget for the next two years. Connecticut taxpayers are expecting an almost $4 billion deficit.
“We have much to do the next two years and I am ready and up for the challenge. Today, along with the swearing in of a new governor, we have a renewed opportunity to address the large fiscal problems facing our great state,” said Rep. Devlin.
