Using key pieces of legislation to rank state lawmakers during the 2021 legislative session, the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA) recently highlighted State Representative Tom Delnicki’s perfect 100 percent score.

“Small businesses need our support more than ever at the moment,” Rep. Delnicki said. “I’m proud of this perfect score from the state’s business community, which was made possible by working closely with the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce and by maintaining contact with our small business community to ensure they received necessary assistance during these difficult times.”

This year, Rep. Delnicki opposed Democrats’ attempts to hike the income tax, the gas tax, and a tax on health insurance premiums – taxes that hurt both businesses and families. He also opposed a proposed new statewide house tax. While opposing tax hikes, Rep. Delnicki worked to successfully pass legislation to support continued aid for homeowners of Connecticut impacted by crumbling foundations.

“I urge taxpayers to contact me at Tom.Delnicki@housegop.ct.gov. I want to hear from the people I represent, especially their thoughts and ideas for future legislation to help grow jobs, create new industries in Connecticut and make improvements where necessary,” added Rep. Delnicki.

CBIA’s policy initiatives feature a number of the bills, with recommendations designed to help businesses manage the high costs of navigating COVID-19 restrictions, to create and retain jobs, and lead Connecticut’s economic recovery.
