Today we celebrate Independence Day.

Today, we are reminded of the focus, determination and courage of our patriots who passionately believed that our nascent country deserved better governance. They believed that having leaders and a government, for the people, and by the people was  not only practical, but possible.

Two hundred and forty-three years ago, on July 4, 1776, these patriots put forth The Declaration of Independence. This document has not only remained relevant over centuries, but it also remains a guiding light in our country and history. I feel grateful every day to live in a democracy that is alive and vibrant – – the exact vision our forefathers conceived.

If you would like to view a copy of the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution Center in Philadelphia has a printable file available. I hope you enjoy reading it.

Sending best wishes to you and your friends and families for a wonderful holiday. May we all take a moment today to reflect with gratitude on the perseverance of the colonists in 1776 who set our country on this successful path.

Warm Regards,

Tom Delnicki
