As a member of the Crumbling Foundations Working Group, I attended every meeting and voiced my opinion when needed. Below you will find handouts provided at the Crumbling Foundations Working Group Meeting which was held at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford on December 3, 2019. The group amended the model quality control plan for quarries flow chart and approved it. Now the challenge is to commit it to paper. Had this process been in place years ago we would not have thousands of homes with crumbling foundations. The next challenge is to study the workforce of contractors repairing and replacing crumbling concrete foundations. It looks like the requirement for the working group to submit its plan on or before February 1, 2020 is on track.
