Honoring Chief Jason Schall of the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department
Key Takeaways
- Chief Jason Schall of the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department was named New London County Fire Chief of the Year.
Recently, I was proud to attend a ceremony honoring Chief Jason Schall of the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department on being named New London County Fire Chief of the Year. This prestigious recognition brought together members of neighboring departments, including Franklin, Bozrah and Colchester, to celebrate Chief Schall’s dedication and leadership. Senator Osten and I were pleased to present him with an official state citation.
We also had the privilege of recognizing EMS Captain Betsy Petrie McComber, who was named Volunteer of the Year by the Connecticut EMS Advisory Board. It was an honor both Senator Osten and to present her with a state citation in recognition of her outstanding service and commitment to our community. Our volunteer first responders are so important to our small communities around our state, and I find these types of events to be very rewarding for everyone involved.
