Reps. Ackert, DeCaprio Applaud Funding Allocation for Lebanon Police Department

(LEBANON) – On Monday, State Representatives Tim Ackert (R-8) and Mark DeCaprio (R-48) led applause from the General Assembly over an anticipated $11,328 allocation from the State Bonding Commission to reimburse the Lebanon Police Department for costs in providing body-worn/dashboard recording equipment and data storage costs.
“I am grateful to the Bonding Commission for approving this necessary financial support for our local law enforcement,” said Rep. Ackert. “This investment is one way we can give back to the brave men and women who dedicate their lives each day to protecting our community and residents. Thanks to the collaboration between municipal leadership, Rep. DeCaprio, and myself, we can use this funding to equip our police with the tools they need to confidently carry out their investigative duties and continue keeping us safe.”
“I want to thank Governor Lamont and the bonding members for the addition of Lebanon Police Department’s reimbursement of recording equipment to Friday’s agenda,” said Rep. DeCaprio. The safety of our officers and the public is high priority. Some financial help in reimbursing these costs to the smaller towns here in eastern Connecticut is greatly appreciated.”
The State Bond Commission is slated to meet and finalize this allocation, among others, on June 7, at 10:30 a.m. in Room 1E of the Legislative Office Building in Hartford (300 Capitol Avenue). For the complete agenda, please click here.
