Friends and Neighbors,

With the summer season and patriotic holidays such as Memorial Day, Flag Day and the Fourth of July on the horizon, it is the perfect time to properly retire your worn, faded and tattered American flags as you prepare to put on fresh new displays of the Stars and Stripes.

In cooperation with the American legion, there will be four locations that residents can drop off their worn American flags for proper ceremonial disposal according to the U.S. Flag Code.  Drop-off locations will receive flags from May 30th until June 13th.

In Ellington the drop-off locations are:

  • Ellington Town Hall, 55 Main Street, Ellington
  • Hall Memorial Library, 93 Main Street, Ellington

In East Windsor the drop-off locations are:

  • Warehouse Point Library, 107 Main Street, Warehouse Point
  • American Legion Post #40, 7 Gardner Street, East Windsor

Best regards,

State Representative Christopher Davis – 57th District – Ellington & East Windsor
