HARTFORD – To show her support for allowing parents to determine their own health choices for their family, State Representative Anne Dauphinais (R-44) attended an informational forum put on by Health Choice Connecticut.

Health Choice Connecticut held a Health and Safety Forum in Hartford as part of Vaccine Injury and Awareness Day where a panel of physicians, scientists, researchers and health advisors discussed a wide variety of topics that included state mandates, scientific findings, and safety issues surrounding vaccinations.

“I believe that we should always allow parents the freedom to choose what is best for their children and their families,” Rep. Dauphinais said. “We should never impose mandates that take away parental rights and force choices onto them.”

After the presentation, the organizers of the event held a “Rally on the Steps’ at the Capitol and meet and greet/lecture that evening at Mohegan Sun. Health Choice CT states the purpose of the event is to showcase freedom in health choices and provide transparency in medicine.

According to Health Choice CT, there are 72 required doses for infants through the age of 18, 52 injected vaccines and 3 oral vaccines where as in 1983 there were 24 required doses, 7 injected vaccines and 4 oral vaccines.

“Like other bills that were introduced this legislative session where the decisions were taken out of the hands of the parents, I will always support them and having them determine what is best for their children,” Dauphinais said.

Health Choice CT is a grass roots non-profit organization with members throughout the state. They believe people have a fundamental right to make informed health decisions for themselves and their families and protect families’ rights to informed health choices.
