Rep. Dauphinais Recognized by Foundation For Supporting Conservative Principles

HARTFORD – State Representative Anne Dauphinais (R-Killingly) was recently recognized by The American Conservative Union Foundation (ACUF) for her commitment to preserving and adhering to conservative principles through a series of votes made on the floor of the House.

The ACUF scored House and Senate lawmakers based on their support for Conservative positions on 13 important, select pieces of legislation. The bills all affect job creation, small business growth and economic stability in Connecticut. For the bills selected, Rep. Dauphinais received a 100 percent voting score.

“I got involved in politics to ensure the rights, freedoms and personal choices of every Connecticut resident are protected,” Rep. Dauphinais said. “I’m proud that this record reflects my commitment to fighting against the erosion of those freedoms and my support for legislation that helps people live the lives they choose.”

According to the foundation, the scores reflect how elected officials view the role of government in an individual’s life and are determined by a range of bills within five separate political areas that includes the Center for Human Dignity, the Center for Statesmanship & Diplomacy, the Center for 21st Century Property Rights, and the Center for Criminal Justice Reform (CCJR), and the Center for Arts & Culture. A sample of the bills centered around taxes, healthcare, the 2nd Amendment, education, welfare, voting and individual liberties.

ACUF’s goal is to educate people while promoting conservative principles within five separate political areas that includes the Center for Human Dignity, the Center for Statesmanship & Diplomacy, the Center for 21st Century Property Rights, and the Center for Criminal Justice Reform (CCJR), and the Center for Arts & Culture.
