    HARTFORD – State Representative Anne Dauphinais (R-44) in conjunction with the American Legion Post 91, VFW Post 2650, VFW Post 4908, and VFW Post 5446 is encouraging residents to ‘Retire Your Worn American Flags’ at various drop-off locations throughout the 44th District. The collection will run from Wednesday, May 23rd until Wednesday, June 13th.

    The drop-off locations include:
    • American Legion Post 91, 66 Prospect St., Moosup
    • Killingly Town Hall, 172 Main St., Killingly
    • VFW 2650, 29 Mechanic St., Danielson
    • VFW 4908, 1035 North Rd., Dayville
    • VFW Post 5446, 7 Windsor Ave., Plainfield

    The U.S. Flag Code specifies that old American flags no longer in service must be properly disposed.
