Rep. Dauphinais, American Legion and VFW Partner for U.S. Flag Collection

HARTFORD – State Representative Anne Dauphinais (R-44) in conjunction with the American Legion Post 91, VFW Post 2650, VFW Post 4908, and VFW Post 5446 is encouraging residents to ‘Retire Your Worn American Flags’ at drop-off locations within the 44^th District.

The collection will run from Tuesday, May 28^th until Thursday, June 13^th.

Drop off locations include:

Plainfield Town Hall, 8 Community Ave., Plainfield

Killingly Town Hall, 172 Main St., Killingly

The U.S. Flag Code specifies that the flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
