State Legislator Makes Every Vote of the 2018 Regular Session

HARTFORD – For the second consecutive year, State Representative Anne Dauphinais (R-44) has earned a one hundred percent voting record for all roll call votes taken on the floor of the House of Representatives for 2018.

Each year, the House Clerk’s Office releases the data on members’ votes during the Regular Session. Achieving perfect attendance is quite difficult, with only 20% of legislators able to do so in any given year.

“During the year, many unexpected things like personal illness, job requirements, or a family emergency can arise that would prevent you from being present 100% of the time. I was fortunate to not have experienced the types of things that would have prevented me from casting each and every vote,” Rep. Dauphinais said.

Rep. Dauphinais represents the towns of Killingly and Plainfield in the General Assembly. She is also a member of the legislature’s Children, Human Services, and Public Safety and Security Committees.

“It is a honor and privilege to serve the community in which I was brought up in and now live,” Rep. Dauphinais said. “I’m grateful to have the opportunity to represent and serve our district.”

The next regular session of the legislature will convene in January, 2019.

Some of these shortcomings, like those involving the STAR group home, were already known. But that makes them no less unacceptable. Children in these situations are among the most vulnerable in […]
