Rep. Stephanie Cummings, Alderman Noujaim Announce Coat Drive for Waterbury Families

Posted on November 29, 2019 by admin

State Representative Stephanie Cummings (R-74) and District 4 Alderman George Noujaim today announced the kickoff of their second annual coat drive to benefit needy Waterbury families.

For the second year, they are collecting NEW, unused hats, gloves, mittens and scarves, and children’s and adult coats to be distributed to needy Waterbury families and at East End Schools. The coat drive runs from Friday, November 29 through Tuesday, December 17.

“We all know how cold Connecticut can be during the winter and a small donation can go a long way toward helping a local family stay warm,” Rep. Cummings said. “Every donation makes a difference and no gift is too small. Each hat, pair of gloves or donated coat brings immediate help to one of your neighbors.”

Donation boxes are available at one of these community partner locations:

  • Belle Academy – 27A South Commons Road, Waterbury
  • Bob’s Stores – 910 Wolcott Street, Waterbury
