CT Community Nonprofit Alliance Advocacy Day
HARTFORD- Wednesday, State Rep. Holly Cheeseman (R-37) stood with thousands of Connecticut nonprofit providers who rallied at the State Capitol in Hartford for additional state funding. These are the people that help support programs for substance abuse and mental health treatment, day and residential services for people with developmental disabilities and other vital services.
Cheeseman has been a long-time ally of the non-profit community and the services they provide.
“Our providers have been terribly underfunded for more than a decade, we will continue to advocate for increases that pay for their critical services,” said Rep. Cheeseman.
Rep. Cheeseman along with her House Republican colleagues have put forward a state budget plan which a 2.5% increase to nonprofit service providers and now we have heard the Speaker of the House has thrown his support behind that increase for our caregivers.
